Privacy policy
This policy covers the Orcs & Runes: Tower Defence iPhone app and its support pages. Normal gameplay works offline without a separate publisher account or Game Center. The initial iPhone release contains no advertising.
Effective 5 September 2026. The iPhone game is in preparation.
Who is responsible?
Orcs & Runes: Tower Defence is published by Adam Brown. Adam Brown is the controller of personal information handled for publisher support and operation of these support pages.

Apple provides the optional Game Center service with its own privacy practices and controls, explained below.
Information kept on your device
The app stores saved battles, progression, personal bests and settings locally. When Game Center is used, the app also keeps a game-specific player identifier and queued score or achievement reports so results stay associated with the correct Apple player and failed submissions can be retried.
Complete saved battles are not sent to the browser game's leaderboard. This app does not use Game Center for cloud-save restoration. Browser saves and progress from another device do not transfer into the app.
Removing the app or resetting progress can permanently remove local saves. Operating-system backups are controlled by your device settings.
Apple Game Center
The app checks whether Game Center is available. An existing sign-in on your iPhone may connect automatically. Otherwise, you can choose to sign in through Apple's interface or continue playing offline.
Apple supplies your gaming nickname, a game-specific player identifier and account restriction flags. The app submits your overall level, eligible endless wave results, campaign stage records and completed achievements to Apple. Campaign records include stage, difficulty, combat time, towers built, gold spent, hero and stars.
Player nicknames and run statistics appear in global or friends-filtered rankings. A friends filter changes which results you see; it does not make a submitted global leaderboard score private. Apple's profile and visibility controls apply.
The game does not receive your Apple password or Apple account email, does not request a separate copy of your friends list and does not implement chat. Game Center rankings do not transfer your local saved battles between devices.
Manage Game Center through iPhone Settings. Read Apple's Game Center & Privacy information for details of Apple's collection, sharing, retention and controls.
Support messages & this website
If you email support, Adam Brown receives the email address, message and information you choose to provide, such as an app version or screenshot. This information is used to respond, investigate the reported issue and keep a record of the support request. Do not send passwords, payment details or another person's private profile information.
Support messages are handled through the publisher's email service provider. They are not added to a marketing list by this game.
These pages contain no contact form, advertising, analytics scripts or browser storage. Fonts and images are served with the pages. To deliver and secure the website, the hosting provider receives technical request information, such as your IP address, requested page, browser details and request time, and may keep operational or security logs.
Choosing an email link opens your email service. Following an Apple or other external link opens a separate service governed by its own practices.
Why information is used and kept
For publisher support and website operation, information is used as necessary for the legitimate interests of answering requests, diagnosing reported problems, delivering these pages and keeping services secure. Information may also be retained or disclosed where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Where applicable law requires consent for an optional service, the relevant consent controls are provided before that service is requested.
Support correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, follow up on related problems and meet applicable legal obligations. Relevant factors include whether the issue remains open, whether a record is needed for a related dispute and whether law requires retention. You can contact the publisher to ask about or request deletion of your correspondence.
Local game data remains on the device until removed through the app's reset control or device controls, subject to any operating-system backups. Apple retains Game Center information under its own policies; the game's local reset does not delete Apple's records.
Information is shared with service providers needed to operate support and hosting, with Apple when Game Center is used, or where disclosure is legally required. The publisher does not sell support correspondence.
Apple and service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Apple's linked policy explains its data practices and applicable transfer safeguards. You can ask hi@adambrown.uk for information about providers handling a support request.
Your choices & privacy rights
Reset local game data
Use Device controls → Reset local progress to remove this app's local battles, progression, settings and the local Game Center reporting link or queue. The reset cannot be undone. It does not remove scores or achievements already held by Apple.
Manage Game Center
You can play without Game Center. Manage Game Center sign-in and profile visibility in Apple's controls. Changes to consent do not affect processing already lawfully carried out.
Contact the publisher about your information
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access or correct personal information, request deletion, object to or restrict its use, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights can be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
Email hi@adambrown.uk with your request. Only information reasonably needed to identify the relevant correspondence and verify the request will be requested. Information held by Apple is handled through Apple's policy and controls.
You can raise a concern with your local data protection authority. In the UK, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office. The ICO also explains the right to request deletion.
Updates to this policy
Changes will be published on this page and the effective date will be updated when practices change. Check this page for the current policy.
